Application Feedback 

The GRIT Application Feedback Program aims to make PhD applications more equitable by providing feedback on application essays to the BMS program. Essays are reviewed by current graduate students that are familiar with BMS expectations. To find out more information or to submit an application please click the button below. 

Peer Mentorship

The GRIT Peer Mentoring Program aims  to reduce common barriers associated with graduate school by providing first-year students with a peer mentor. Mentors are fellow graduate students that are familiar with the challenges encountered during a PhD. To find out more or to sign up click the button below.

Mental Wellness

The GRIT Mental Wellness Series advocates for student mental health and provides opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations with peers. We promote discussions about the challenges of maintaining mental wellbeing in graduate school, accessibility issues related to mental health, and the development of strategies and resources to help support one’s peace of mind while pursuing a PhD.

Voices of Color

The GRIT Voices of Color Program aims to provide a safe space for STEM graduate students who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color. We hold monthly community chat spaces and social events for students to connect with other students to build a community. To find out more or to join our listserv click on the button below.
